About Us
Spectrum Risk Management (SRM) was established in Auckland in 2018 and Spectrum Risk Management and Reinsurance DMCC (SRM DMCC) in Dubai in 2019 to act as its Marketing office with emphasis on the MENA Region.
Between the offices SRM and SRM DMCC offer Intermediary, Agency and Advisory services. Our principal business line is SRM's Managing General Agent which we are proud to operate in conjunction with our Blue-Chip partners. We also offer bespoke Intermediary and Advisory services as and when conducive to our core business.
SRM initially concentrated on Marine business and have since added both Property and Casualty accounts. The Marine portfolio is written across all classes. By working with long established and respected capacity providers plus identified professional producers we have taken advantage of the improved trading environment to establish ourselves in the evolving marketplace.
The Property and Casualty accounts are initially Asian and MENA region focused and similarly backed by market professionals of the highest standing.
All lines of business are managed and underwritten by highly experienced industry leaders respected as experts in their classes.
SRM and SRM DMCC's team has worked in London, Warsaw, Dubai, Mumbai, Limassol, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney and Auckland and established close relationships with the global market’s leading professionals along the way.
We have particularly embraced the latest digital solutions to develop bespoke systems both in the acceptance of risk and administration of the business which we constantly seek to develop and update. To further enhance our co-operation, SRM and SRM DMCC offers digital access to our valued partners at both the front and back end of the risk.

Our Coverholder agreement extends over Hull and Machinery, Cargo and General Liability on a global basis other than USA and Canada along with countries precluded by international sanctions..
We are able to offer USD 4,500,000 capacity via our Coverholder agreements and an additional USD 500,000 that can be made available upon application.

Property
Spectrum Risk Management (SRM) writes its Asian and MENA region Property Facultative account via our Auckland office. Our Coverholder agreement partners are:
Greenlight Re, Cayman Islands
Santam Re, South Africa.
We write a wide-range of Industries including mining (above ground), Operational Power and Onshore Energy.
Our territorial scope is risks located in Asia, Australia and MENA region including the Indian subcontinent but excluding Japan and New Zealand.
SRM is able to offer capacity up to USD 7,500,000 per risk.
The Property Portfolio has a strong focus upon Excess of Loss but we can also consider Quota Share on mid-sized accounts and selected Primary opportunities.

Michael Darby
Director of SRM & Managing Director of SRM DMCC
Mike’s background has been largely broker based having worked in London, Singapore and now Dubai where he operates under the Spectrum Risk Management and Reinsurance DMCC banner. He has worked for some of the major broking houses including Heath, Benfield, Price Forbes and Cooper Gay in the most senior Management position. Mike has been instrumental in establishing Spectrum Risk Management with the backing of long established relationships over many years.

Andrew Crampton
Director of SRM, Property Underwriter
Andrew is responsible for the underwriting and development of Spectrum Risk Management’s Asian Property Facultative portfolio. Andrew has held senior underwriting positions with Swiss Re and Lloyd’s of London, both in Sydney and Singapore. He has over 25 years underwriting experience, including 17 years underwriting Asian Property Facultative business. Andrew has also previously run his own re/insurance consultancy business working with a number of international carriers predominantly in the area of underwriting performance and strategy for their facultative portfolios.

Andrei Ryumin
Director of SRM DMCC, Marine Underwriter
Andrei can look back on his successful time in Asia with brokers in Kuala Lumpur specialising in Marine business, as well as on his career on Russian market and time with a company in Europe. This allowed him to develop widespread contacts in Europe, Middle East and Asia. Andrei also has extensive IT skills and has been instrumental in management of the company’s systems that allow automation of administration and paperless environment.

Anna Maria Rajchel
Director of SRM DMCC
Anna has spent her career in Warsaw and Singapore. She started with Polish Re and was a founding partner at Heath Polska. In recent years Anna has been responsible for QBE Asia’s sizeable Casualty portfolio. As a Director of SRM DMCC, Anna is responsible for claims adjustment, administration, compliance and HR.

Pranita Parab
Claims Manager
Pranita is responsible for Spectrum's claims service across all business lines and should be the point of contact for related matters. Having worked at Willis Towers Watson in Mumbai handling International Fine Art, Jeweler’s Block and Cash in transit losses, Pranita then joined Qatar Re, Dubai branch (QIC Global). Her responsibilities included Property, Marine and Energy claims handling before joining SRM in 2021 to further enhance our Coverholder service.

Nimisha Rajora
Underwriting Assistant
Nimisha brings over 7 years of experience in the insurance/reinsurance market, specializing in broking and underwriting within the Middle East region. Prior to that, she had a successful 6-year tenure in the banking industry. With her extensive experience Nimisha is now assisting both the Marine and Property teams.

Andy Timms
General Manager of SRM
Andy has spent his career in Marine Insurance working in London, Sydney and Auckland. He has held senior positions with RSA, Vero Insurance and Suncorp during that time. He now heads up Spectrum Risk Management’s New Zealand operations. Travelling throughout the Asian region in particular he has established close relationships with major market players. His expertise and knowledge extends across all classes of Marine business.

Akash Kumar
Deputy Property Underwriter
Akash brings a broad range of experience to this role, and many relevant credentials including a masters in insurance and risk management from Bayees Business School, an advanced diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK, and associateship of the Insurance Institute of India. He has specialised in underwriting non-motor general insurance portfolios, working with leading insurers and reinsurance brokers in the UK, India and UAE.
